How about the way I first lost a body?

Everything was going fine. All the components were playing nice, my mesh was perfectly stable, the wards i tossed down to keep animals out were doing great, there should have been no problems.

And then.

Someone summons themself to me.

Using my emergency code.

Without knocking.

While the environmental control a demiplane offers are normally ideal, the materials for this particular construct were both mildly warping and sensitive to minor changes in dimensional changes around them. As demiplanes tend towards enthalpy and must be made stable, like hell I was going to do this anywhere but the single plane that actually tends towards stability.

But of course, someone thought it would be an excellent idea to pop a hole open right next to me to ask what I wanted for lunch.

My poor construct of bone and ivy flipped the fuck out and jittered up at least two dimensions before collapsing back down and twitching at speed through the forests of Alatonia. It took 3 days to find the thing and pin down enough to neaten it up so it'd stop.

I agree, nature is *very* beautiful.

I've also seen no shortage of large bugs, my personal favorites are Dragonflies. Despite the extravagant name they're generally quite mundane, although they have quite the peculiar shape. They also eat other small annoying bugs that tend to gather around bodies of water, like gnats and flies so they're quite nice to have around!

Sounds like quite the nuisance! At least it was an innocent mistake.

If I had to tell a comparable tale it'd probably be the first time I had communed with a celestial body.

I was still very much working out who I was at the time so I was still a bit light on charm but I had managed to get in contact with Yildun. Unfotunetly for me I had caught him at a truly terrible time.

I didn't know the context in the moment but apparently he had just been dumped by his longtime partner and was just absolutely devastated. And then little ol' me rolled up without knowing anything about anything and starting charmlessly talking to him about how I'm still getting used to this whole consciousness racket.

Looking back he pretty clearly wanted me to leave but was too polite to just ask.

I should probably apologize for that now that I think about it...
